Mirko Tremaglia

Mirko Tremaglia (17 November 1926 – 30 December 2011) was an Italian politician. He was a Minister without portfolio with specific responsibility for Italians abroad from 2001 to 2006.〔(II Governo Berlusconi (June 2001 - April 2005) ) ''Governo Italiano'' (official website of the Italian government)〕〔(III Governo Berlusconi (23.04.2005 - 17.05.2006) ) ''Governo Italiano'' (official website of the Italian government)〕 As a young man he fought for Italy in World War II. He was also a co-founder of the Italian Social Movement, and a former leader of the National Alliance. Tremaglia died at his home in Bergamo in northern Italy, after a long illness (Parkinson's disease)〔(Right-wing politician who battled for the right of Italians to cast ballots from abroad dies ) ''The Washington Post,'' 30 December 2011〕
